Foreclosure
Prevention Program now available
AMHA has joined forces with the County of
Summit Department of Job & Family Services under the County Executive Office to address the
foreclosure crisis. Summit County homeowners whose
income is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guide
Line and who are at risk of losing their home due to
predatory lending, financial mismanagement, or job loss
will be offered a full range of housing services. AMHA
will provide assistance to coordinate services of local
and national housing agencies as well as lenders.
One-time mortgage rescue funds up to $5,000 are
available for homeowners who complete mandatory
financial management education and can continue to
sustain monthly mortgage payments. A second mortgage
lien will be attached to all home mortgages receiving
the one-time mortgage rescue funds to ensure that
allocated funds are utilized in accordance with program
requirements.
